چکیده
One of the major difficulties in realizing a high-dimensional frequency converter for conventional optical vortex (COV) modes stems from difference ring diameter COV with different topological charge numbers l. Here, we implement perfect (POV) invariant sizes by way four-wave mixing (FWM) process using Bessel–Gaussian beams instead Laguerre–Gaussian beams. The measured conversion efficiency 1530 to 795 nm is independent l at least subspace l∈{-6,…,6}, and achieved fidelities two-dimensional (2D) superposed POV states exceed 97%. We further realize 3D, 5D, 7D superposition as high 96.70%, 89.16%, 88.68%, respectively. proposed scheme implemented hot atomic vapor. It also compatible cold system may find applications high-capacity long-distance quantum communication.

Adiabatic frequency conversion of optical information in atomic vapor.
We experimentally demonstrate a communication protocol that enables frequency conversion and routing of quantum information in an adiabatic and thus robust way. The protocol is based on electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in systems with multiple excited levels: transfer and/or distribution of optical states between different signal modes is implemented by adiabatically changing the ...

We demonstrate efficient nonlinear frequency conversion in atomic Pb vapor under conditions where the linear susceptibility and the effective nonlinear susceptibility are of the same order. This is accomplished by using electromagnetically induced transparency to prepare a near-maximal atomic coherence on a Raman transition. This strongly driven transition is used to convert an intense laser be...

Multifrequency atomic force microscopy imaging has been recently demonstrated as a powerful technique for quickly obtaining information about the mechanical properties of a sample. Combining this development with recent gains in imaging speed through small cantilevers holds the promise of a convenient, high-speed method for obtaining nanoscale topography as well as mechanical properties. متن کاملDimensional scaling treatment of stability of atomic anions induced by superintense, high-frequency laser fields.
We show that dimensional scaling, combined with the high-frequency Floquet theory, provides useful means to evaluate the stability of gas phase atomic anions in a superintense laser field. At the large-dimension limit (D-->infinity), in a suitably scaled space, electrons become localized along the polarization direction of the laser field. We find that calculations at large D are much simpler t...
متن کاملMulti-frequency atomic force microscopy: A system-theoretic approach
Multi-frequency atomic force microscopy (MF-AFM), employing the detection and/or excitation of multiple cantilever frequencies, has shown great promise in increasing the compositional sensitivity, and the spatial and temporal resolution of imaging. The multitude of frequency components generated in MF-AFM encode information about the tip-sample nonlinearity. For quantitative interpretation of t...
